General News We would like to announce the birth of our first child, Genevieve Maria Rose Allen. She arrived on July 18, 2009 after a mere 40 hours of labor. :) She weighed 8 pounds and was 21.5 inches long. She seems to take after her father in the height department, as at 2 months she is already 26 inches long - and she grew the last inch in the past week! All three of us are doing very well.

General News Will and Erin Dowdy would like to announce the arrival of our first baby, Lyla Joanne—she was born May 4, 2009, the day before Will’s graduate thesis project defense! Will graduated from Notre Dame in May with a Master of Architecture degree and a Master of Architectural Design and Urbanism. We moved to Chico, California in July in time for him to start his new job at Anderson|Kim Architecture+Urban Design. Erin is working part time for International Catholic University, as self-study program of courses founded by Dr. Ralph McInerny, a long-time friend of TAC. We spend most of our free time congratulating ourselves about how wonderful our little daughter is, but really we are so grateful for how good God is to us.

Congratulations

General News I got accepted to the Concurrent MA Philosophy/Theology at the Dominican School of Philosophy and Theology, and am in a year of waiting (during which I am studying at the DSPT -- five graduate-level classes this semester!) prior to entering the Dominican Novitiate in San Francisco. I would like to request that people pray for me (for academic success, for the success of my Novitiate year and hopefully, the success of my subsequent process of formation, if it be God's will that the Novitiate should be a successful discernment.) I would also ask that they pray for my close friend Brendan Lazaneo (not TAC connected), who is currently struggling with a rare, extremely painful, life-threatening case of Lyme disease, as well as several other problems which arrive in Lyme's wake. It's pretty scary and I know that their prayers will help him.
