 Kathryn & Evan Piquette 09’ had their first baby on June 26th, 2009. They were blessed with a beautiful son, Roderick Joseph, who weighed 7lbs., 9oz.

Nathan Schmiedicke here. I'm finishing up my third year of teaching at St. Charles Seminary and Villanova University in Philly. We're expecting our fifth in late March, waiting to see if it really is true that we are incapable of having a girl.

 Jonathan Peters’ ‘00 CD "The Constellations - A Guide to the Orchestra" received a starred review (highest review) from School Library Journal and went out to over 30,000 public schools and libraries. The music will also soon be featured in a year-round planetarium show at the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History. He is currently working on another educational CD which will take kids through the major periods and movements of the visual arts.

Happy Feast of St. Thomas Aquinas-- the college and her alumni were remembered in the prayers of my seminarian class, who are with me on a 3-month study pilgrimage in the Holy Land. We've been savoring the nearly four thousand years of biblical and archaeological history in this tiny country, visiting the holy sites of our faith and becoming more familiar with the background of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict here and throughout the region. Mundelein Seminary has made this pilgrimage unbelievably successful, providing us with frequent and repeated access to sites that most visitors only have a few hours to pray in. Certainly the peak of our time has been here in Jerusalem, with the ability to spend the night in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher and receive our Lord in the Eucharist on Mount Calvary. You can follow our wanderings at our photojournaling site, at least for another couple of weeks: http://pilgrimjournal.aminus3.com/ Our final month will serve as some of the final preparation for our ordinations to the diaconate, which will span the months of May until October. Please keep me and my brothers in prayer, and everyone would of course be welcome to attend my ordination on May 22nd in Kansas City. Save the date for ordination to the priesthood on 28 May 2011!

My wife, Scarlett Winterburn, gave birth to a healthy baby boy (our first child), Ephrem Athanasius Lee Winterburn, on October 24, 2009, about one month early, to our delight and surprise! He was baptized into new life in Christ Jesus on January 10, 2009.
