Please support this year’s Wash for Life. Wash for life was started and is still organized by TAC Alumni, Emily & John Tonkowich and Jon Cunningham. (all from the class of 2006)
Wash for Life 2010:
Saturday, September 18th
Three weeks left until the 5th annual Wash For Life! Yes, we are going on our 5th year. Over the past 4 years we have raised $202,239.26 for Pregnancy Support Organizations. There have been numerous stories every year of lives being touched through the Wash for Life. Last year, the day before the Wash for Life a woman came to her local Pregnancy Center pregnant and in need. The next day a youth group in that area raised over $900 at their Wash For Life. The money was used by the PC for the care of that woman and her baby. The youth saw an immediate effect of their work and care.
The Wash for Life is an annual pro-life youth event. On the same day, groups of youth all over the country hold a car wash in their own home town and donate the money to a local Pregnancy Care Center. This way, they participate in a national event while at the same time helping their own community. The next Wash for Life will be on September 18, 2010.
If YOU help us get the word out about the Wash For Life it can grow and continue to touch lives. Please encourage the youth group in your church, your school, or your youth pro-life group to hold a Wash for Life. Ask other churches in your area to join in or hold their own WFL. Join us for WFL 2010!
Please visit our website: http://www.washforlife.org/ and check out the new WFL 2010 Flier!
God bless and keep you,

As some alumni recall well, on June 5, 1982, Bl. Mother Teresa of Calcutta delivered the Commencement Address at Thomas Aquinas College - one of only three campuses she would visit on her trip to the United States that year. To commemorate Bl. Teresa's 100th birthday (August 26) and her feast day (September 5), the College is publishing on our website the videos of her Commencement Address and a press conference she delivered that day. Please visit the website at www.thomasaquinas.edu and click on the links on the home page to access these.
Blessed Mother Teresa, pray for us!

Here is a link to his website from which the audio and video can be played
http://www.kennethrice2010.com/media
Kenneth Rice is a factory-worker-turned-political-philosopher. His 17 years of manual labor and 10 years of pursuing knowledge, truth, and wisdom molded him into a man of honor and integrity. His values are the values that are at the heart of America's greatness. His story is the American Dream and represents Oklahoma's "salt-of-the-earth"
values.
Kenneth is Catholic and the son of a decorated 20 year Army veteran. He enjoys attending Mass at the Clear Creek Abbey where six of the brothers are former college classmates. He was born on Redstone Arsenal, a military base in Alabama, and raised on military bases throughout the United States and Europe.
Kenneth is a principled conservative. He, like our Founding Fathers, studied the classic texts of the "Great Minds" of Western Civilization. He understands the Judeo-Christian principles that are at the heart of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. He will fight to restore our liberties and limit the federal government to its constitutional authority.
Bailouts, Debt, and Spending
Kenneth Rice opposes all bailouts. He proposes balancing the budget next year and restricting federal government spending to its constitutionallimits. He will champion the advantages of the free market andthe responsible idea of success and failure.
Taxes
Kenneth Rice will fight to eliminate the capital gains tax and the death tax. The goal is to limit the federal government to its constitutional
authority and repeal the 16th Amendment. The income tax is a direct violation of the principles of the Declaration of Independence.
Obamacare
Kenneth Rice opposes the recent unconstitutional health care legislation and will work to repeal it. He supports Oklahoma's efforts to optout
of the legislation and will assist Oklahoma's efforts to challenge the constitutionality of Obamacare.
Immigration
Kenneth Rice opposes amnesty. He is for legal immigration and believes that states have a right to enforce immigration laws. He thinks states have the authority to pass laws that protect their citizens and enforce our national security.
Pro Life
Kenneth Rice believes that life begins at conception. He supports the Human Life Amendment and the Life at Conception Act. He wants to eliminate all federal funding for Planned Parenthood.

We are expecting our 4th child in Jan and our apartment complex is kicking us out once the baby arrives! Please pray we find a place to live! We can't afford anything bigger than a 2 bedroom apartment and most places have limits on number of people. The really cheap places have waiting lists 3-6 years!!

We all know how wonderful the Faith and Life catechism textbooks from Ignatius Press are. My pastor would like to get them into his parochial school but is meeting great resistance because "the reading level is too high." It would be most helpful if any of you who have taught in a school setting with these books could give a me recommendation and specifically address this objection. Also, if you are willing to be contacted by the pastor/principal to discuss the books, please let me know. Thanks!

I come today begging your prayers and any prayers you can generate from persons you know for the nephew of our novice, Sr Angelica Marie (Kim-Bao). We just learned he is in ICU in critical condition after near drowning in the ocean by his home in South Carolina. He has made it through the day but is unconscious, having seizures, has a temp and very low blood pressure. Prognosis according to the docs is not good. It looks like a miracle is needed. The family is begging for a miracle. Today was his graduation day. He is only 18.
His name is Anthony Phu Nguyen and has 2 siblings.
Lot's of prayers for strength and serenity needed.
Thank you again. I'll keep you up to date.
In hope and confidence in our almighty Lord, your
Sr MMagdalen
